NamWeb search

NamWeb is a free search service that enables you to look for information on medicinal products intended for human or veterinary use in Finland. The service covers all medicinal products with a valid marketing authorisation as well as those products for which the marketing authorisation has been withdrawn and are no longer on the market.

First select the type of NamWeb search you wish to make.


Text search:
by name of medicinal product
by active substance (in Latin; a few letters at the start or middle of the word will suffice)
by ATC code
by name of MA-holder
Enter the text you wish to search for :


Date search:
date on which the medicinal product´s marketing authorisation was granted
date on which the medicinal product´s marketing authorisation was withdrawn
Enter the search period dates : -


Do not show medicinal products for veterinary use
Do not show medicinal products for human use
Include also withdrawn medicinal products

The NamWeb system is updated once a day by transferring the latest data from the National Agency for Medicines´ internal database on medicinal products. The Agency makes every effort to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date, but individual errors may occur. The National Agency for Medicines shall not be held responsible for any online data that is not comprehensive, complete, precise or up to date. If you suspect that the NamWeb service contains an error, please inform us.
